Logline: A scorned woman plans a devious sexual revenge plan to torture her ex with a virtual reality experience that uses Clockwork Orange type of torment.
Synopsis:
Amber is a successful programmer and writer of code for a virtual reality corporation. She was used by her ex-fiance, Steven, who abused her sexually and emotionally and cheated her out of her savings. Amber has devoted her life to get revenge on Steven.
Steven is a narcissistic misogynist who womanizes and brags about it. He loves sports that give him an adrenaline rush, like skydiving, cliff jumping, and bungee jumping, to name a few. Steven boasts that there is no activity that he won’t attempt, no matter the danger. Amber uses this character trait of an overconfident adrenaline junkie to set him up.
Michael is a colleague of Steven, who liked Amber and agreed to help her get this revenge. Michael challenges Steven to participate and complete a day as a Virtual Reality research participant. The company will pay Steven $1000 for the day, and Michael will match it if he completes the entire day. Steven laughs and agrees, and instead of agreeing to the deal, he bets Michael an extra $2000 that he will do it. Michael reports to this small office in a warehouse. The office door has the sign: The Ultimate Virtual Reality - Can you handle it? Inside is a computer technician, who is Amber in disguise. She reviews the legalities of becoming a research participant and what he should expect. Steven scoffs at the warnings and joyfully signs the contract.
The technician takes him into the next room where the testing will be done. This virtual reality chair is a cross of a fancy computer chair and an electric chair and a video camera on a tripod. For phase one, Steven must put on a motion-tracking suit with motion markers on it, as they do for athletes when creating the Madden football game. This is done because the Virtual Reality is immersive, and Steven will actually be in the video game. He is filmed doing certain poses and movements. Then Steven puts on a Virtual Reality suit like a tight blue man crew suit with sensors. He is then strapped into the virtual reality chair, as his head, wrists, and ankles are secured. Steven’s eyes are taped open, so he has to watch, ala Clockwork Orange. The VR helmet is placed on his head, and he watches normal VR stuff like roller coasters and skydiving as he just laughs and enjoys it. Then Amber changes the program to sexually and emotionally torture him in this chair and on the screen. At the end of the session, Steven is a broken mess, and Amber has the video to use as blackmail to get her money back that he stole from her.
